Parts Required #

Collect the following parts for this step:

  • Class Echo Back Shell
  • Allan Key
  • 4 x 5mm M3 Screws
  • Arduino Mega 2560 R3

Securing The Arduino #

  • Orient the Arduino as shown in the photo, lining it’s screw holes up with the pre-formed holes in the back shell.
  • Starting with the middle holes, use the allan key to thread in the M3 x 5 screws.
  • DO NOT tighten the screws (the Arduino should still be able to ‘wiggle’) until all screws have been threaded in.
  • Once you are satisfied with the Arduino position, lightly tighten the screws (careful – overtightening will strip the holes).

Getting Warmed Up! #

Anyone can be a builder – and you don’t need to be a geek to put together something yourself. Congratulations on completing your first steps, now lets get wiring!
